So I guess I need to begin with an apology to anyone who has kept up with my blog in any sort of regular fashion for not updating in months! With that being said...here's what is going on with the Seagos since my last update.November, we traveled to MS for Thanksgiving. We got to spend about six days down there, which was great! We really enjoyed seeing everyone, including some of Nathan's extended family who came over from Georgia. We also got to hang out with some great friends, the Laneys, and meet their new little addition!
We had gorgeous weather while we were down there. We were able to stroll around outdoors...way better than the weather they were having back home! I just love fall!
Once we got back, there was snow on the ground. We had to stay warm and we have enjoyed our fireplace this winter! We are trying to teach little Avery what 'hot' means and so far, she seems to understand. She likes to sit by the fire with daddy!
I got to host Christmas dinner this year for my family...my parents and my in-laws! We had quite the spread and I got to use my fancy Christmas dishes. I think it is just such a shame that it takes HOURS to make dinner, but only minutes to eat! Delicious though!
This is my "fancy" painting that I did as a gift for my in-laws this year. I am dabbling some in artwork as a hobby. This one turned out pretty good! Don't go salivating now, you Bulldog fans!
Avery got so much stuff for Christmas this year! She tries to give everything equal play time, but she really likes her cooking stuff from her Aunt Mary Helen and Uncle Stefan! She is obsessed at helping me in the kitchen!
Don't we look wide awake Christmas morning?
We enjoyed a visit with Nathan's parents for Christmas (their first Christmas in Indiana...and it was a white one!). They also just visited us last week for a "Birthday celebration" for mine and Nathan's birthdays. I'm getting older and he's just old! Haha!
My family also came over for Christmas. It's so great that we all can hang out! We also introduced my in-laws to the game "Farkle." It's a game my parents taught us at the beach last year and it is a blast! If you are into dice games, this one is great!
I love this picture!
This was after our ice storm and snow storms we had last week. This is just a chunk of ice that is about 4 inches below the new snow and there is about another 4-6 inches of snow under the ice! We haven't had a winter this rough in ages!
Avery sure liked it as this is really the first time she has been out to play in the snow. Nathan and I pulled her all over in the sled and let her go down a few small hills. She kept saying "ride, ride!" every time I would try to quit. I sure burned some calories that day!
Did I mention she liked to eat the snow?!
Well, I think that pretty much sums up the highlights for now. Hope to post again soon!
